Bitter Root Brewing

Family-owned and operated, Bitter Root Brewing is proud to be one of the oldest breweries in the state of Montana. Established in 1998, this Hamilton brewery is known for producing a wide variety of great beers, delicious food, and a family-friendly environment that’s welcoming to both locals and tourists making their way through town.

This local hot spot handcrafts more than 40 beers each year, with 11 drafts on tap at the brewery at all times. Brewery staples and seasonal favorites include their namesake IPA, Bitter Root IPA, Sawtooth Ridge Golden Ale (which is now gluten reduced), and one of their light and crisp summer specialties, Huckleberry Honey.

Similar to Bitter Root Brewing’s brewers’ passion for using locally grown and sourced barley and honey, the culinary team also endeavors to use local and organic ingredients in their dishes when possible.

In addition to food and beer that would pique just about any palate, Bitter Root Brewing also hosts a variety of events and regularly books local and traveling musicians. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal out with friends or you’re hoping to kick back with a refreshing beer and your favorite local band – there’s always something brewing at the Bitter Root Brew Pub!
