Blacksmith Brewing Company

The small, historic town of Stevensville, Montana is home to many independently owned businesses, including local favorite – the Blacksmith Brewing Company.

On any given night, the Blacksmith Brewing Company is bustling with live music, good company, and great service. Their success can certainly be attributed to their incredible vision, but they’ll be the first to tell you, it was also the result of a lot of hard work.

The building that currently houses the Blacksmith Brewing Company was built in 1908 and originated as a steam laundry. It later became a blacksmith shop, where the town’s blacksmith burned each of his designs in to the walls to ensure he had forged nearly perfect designs and shapes. While the building’s inhabitants have evolved and the space has undoubtedly changed over time, you can still see the brands the blacksmith embedded in the walls and experience the same quality of craftsmanship today.

In addition to rotating specialty beers, Blacksmith Brewing Company has an incredible selection of mainstay beers. Among the valley’s favorites are the Cutthroat IPA, an American Northwest IPA that is gold in color with notes of pine, grass, and grapefruit created from Chinook and Centennial hops. This IPA perfectly pairs with the fresh air and outdoor activities available all throughout the Bitterroot.
